                                                            Self Reflection-Holmes Fan

The purpose of the essay I had written was to show you how I believe the Holmes fan

I’ve purchased one of the best and how easy it is to maintain. When writing this essay I had

I just started by writing on paper all the things I loved about the fan and what I know about it.

After I finished that portion I knew I had to get evidence and other views about the Holmes

fan so I researched it and also included that onto the paper. Research is something I take a

while doing and I believe a strategy I could use to make it better for myself is to always first

make sure it’s a reliable source. From there I will determine if I want to read or even use it in

my writing. Another point that I realized is that, I usually struggle with putting essays in the

proper structure so I tried to separate each topic into piles so I wouldn’t repeat myself or

confuse anyone who is reading my work. The strategy of breaking the work up into piles

really worked for me because it was easier for me to edit my work to have a better final. As

the writer I need to work on my conclusion as well as my introduction. I want my audience to

be engaged and after reading to feel like they have been impacted or an understanding of

where I’m coming from. After finally finalizing the essay I noticed that as a writer I need to

learn how to expand a thought but mostly expand on my vocabulary. This assignment has

made me understand that I need to better understand structure, how to not make long and also gain more knowledge of vocabulary.
